Call for IceLab Interdisciplinary Postdoctoral Fellowships
We have selected the projects to be included in IceLab’s interdisciplinary postdoctoral program for 2026, funded by Kempestiftelserna. The program funds joint postdoctoral positions to build new collaborations and develop ideas in the field of Stress Response Modeling. Assistant Professor in Computing Science with a focus on machine learning - linked to IceLab’s Center for modeling adaptive mechanisms in living systems under stress
Apply by August 10, 2026 for a tenure-track position in machine learning with employment at the Department of Computing Science and a home in IceLab. Establish your research group and develop your independent line of research aligned with Stress Response Modeling at IceLab. Join our supportive environment and work at the forefront of interdisciplinary science.
IceLab Camp
Early career researchers can now apply to join IceLab Camp by June 10, 2026. Camp is an international, multidisciplinary research course meant to initiate PhD students and postdocs in the process of preparing interdisciplinary research proposals and launching new collaborations. Held September 29 to October 2nd, 2026, in Granö, the course offers 2 ECTS and is free to attend.
IceLab Excellence Center Network
Interested researchers from beyond Umeå can apply for research visits in IceLab. We offer an arena for realizing interdisciplinary collaborative projects on modeling adaptive mechanisms in living systems under stress and cover visit costs.
