Sophie is universitetslektor (Assistant Professor) in Management and Section Coordinator for the Management Section of the Department of Business Administration.
My research explores how people navigate, make sense of, and contribute to challenging organizational situations and contexts.
Currently, I co-lead a research project on leadership and leader identity in the Swedish Police, which is supported with three years of funding from the Swedish Research Council. My research has previously received funding from the National Science Foundation in the United States.
I employ qualitative methods (interviews, participant observation, fieldwork), and draw on several conceptual lenses (performance theory, aesthetics, sociology of work and occupations) to generate novel insights into these topics.
