Neurosciences

In the area, function and interaction of nerve cells within the central nervous system and with the bodys other organs is mapped. Research is conducted at both basic land patient level to understand how the nervous system works in normal conditions and how it changes in aging, neurodegenerative and psychiatric diseases and stroke. This examines how the nervous system regulates behaviors and motor/cognitive abilities, pathophysiology of symptoms and disease processes, and new treatment methods.
